SWC Solid Lubrication is a polymer matrix, saturated with lubricating oil, which completely fills the internal space in a bearing, encapsulates the cage and rolling elements and rotates with them.
By releasing the base oil, SWC Solid Lubrication provides a constant and reliable lubrication for the rolling elements and raceways during operation.
Theoretically most sizes of ball and roller bearings can be supplied with SWC Solid Lubrication.
SWC Solid Lubrication offers the following advantages:
- Keeps oil in position
5 times more oil in the bearing than with conventional grease - Keeps containments out
Resistant against humidity and dust - Good resistance against chemicals
- Maintenance free solution
No relubrication required - Environmentally & process friendly
No grease leakage - Sponge like characteristic
Oil is reabsorbed by the polymer matrix if the bearing is not rotating - Withstands high G-Forces
- Load ratings are similar as for standard lubricated bearings
Available variants:
- SL
Solid Lubrication with normal viscosity, suitable for most applications - SLFG
Solid Lubrication for food grade applications (H1) - SL+
Solid Lubrication with lower viscosity, suitable for higher speeds
